Dear Maemo Communtiy,

I have learned alot from this community, but have never in the passed participated till now. Recently i have decided to once again try out NITdroid (last time i tried it was was on 0.0.8). I have tried the new N12 build, and as usual, made a clean install and installed the latest kernal, correctly configuring multiboot and making it load off of the eMMC

when i restarted the phone, i was displayed the multiboot menu, i tried booting into android, yet it froze and restarted

after this incident, i tried booting into maemo, same thing.

now the phone is in a constant loop, only getting as far as the nokia logo, and when i plug in a charger or anything same thing (constant loop)

my question here: what is the best course of action, how can i possibly fix this ?

Fully charge the battery if it is not more thatn about 50 percent then turn of the mobile open your pc install maemo flasher then dl the image put it ithe same folder as the flasher slide open the n900 leyboard while turned off press and hold u while connect mobile to pc via usb then open the flasher and type
flasher-3.5 -F <firmware-image> --flash-only=kernel -f -R
type instead of
<firmware-image> the name of the firmware image file
you wont lose any of your settings or apps or anything except kernel power which you can easily reinstall

When i try charging the phone, it does the looping process; does this mean that it will be charging? I thought that i'd need to reflash, but is there any other way to fix this ?

What part of http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_tablet_firmware#N900 should i be looking it if i want to reflash?

thank you for the replies

@maz7006 if you when u use --flash-only=kernel -f -R it only reflashes the kernel (a main boot file) so you phone data and apps will not affected exept the app kernel power if installed
