I found out the same thing that Thoughtfix:
" After video stopped downloading and just played, there were no sound stutters and a higher framerate."

Download whole youtube video and then it will be better to view.

It kind of proves that the flash video needs 100% cpu time. If the download is running in the background it takes valuable cpu cycles and cause video play jerky.

Oh well... maybe the next tablet has faster CPU and/or another CPU for secondary tasks... dual core ARM???

If I may be so bold, could anyone use their N800 with the new firmware to look at this page www.ukweathershop.co.uk and tell me if it loads. It's a flash page that only works with Flash 8 or 9 and it didn't work with the old firmware.

Thanks in advance
James

Thanks noyz, but the link above was for a slightly different page. The whole link is http://www.ukweathershop.co.uk/acatalog/wdl.html. It's a flash webpage which continually updates from a weather centre. Any chance you could have a look at it for me.......

Thanks again.

It's my understanding the framerate has essentially doubled. Don't quote me on that.

it loaded for me. I received a warning message about a script on the page causing adobe flash 9 player to run slowly and it might make computer unresponsive...
I said to continue and the weather info was displayed.

Compared to my PC the data updated less frequently but the dashboard did update
