looks that /usr/lib/tracker/tracker-index is a culprid. 60+% cpu

any way to shut it down, or is it totally necessary?

althought, leaving a few items open in the background...

i also get:

/usr/libexec/hildon-thumbnailerd ---- very high....between 60-86%cpu
/usr/bin/Xorg -logfile /tmp/Xorg ---- between 2-13%cpu

anyone have an idea how to cut this CPU usage down? it started making my batteries drain in 1.5-3 hours.....just bought new batteries and it is the same even with the new batteries.

it all started about 3 weeks ago.

before that, i was getting 3-6 hours/battery.

my usage has not changed
i have not added applications to the device, but have taken some off.
i have not been overclocked either. just using the kernel-v47

You got something messed up with the image and music indexer.
You can shut it down by typing
Code:
killall thumbnailerd
killall tracker-index
on the X-Term. However, if it's been going like that for 3 weeks, then you DO have something really messed up, and I can't help you there, just wait for a more "professional" answer
