Hi. I am in the process of trying to partition and boot from my new 1 gig mem card. I am following the following tutorial ( http://maemo.org/community/wiki/howt...from_mmc_card/ )
and I am up to the part where I need to format the partition. I need to do the following command, # mkdosfs /dev/mmcblk0p1, but when I type this in xterm, the following error comes up, /dev/mmcblk0pl: No such file or directory

So, I assume I am missing the mkdosfs file, and I hope that one of you can help me complete this part by directing me where I may locate and install this mkdosfs .

Any help here will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

it looks like you are typing it wrong, its p1 (the number 1), the error you pasted shows pl (the letter L), its the partition number, there are no letters at the end of the comand, only numbers.
