Is nokia ever going to port MEEGO on n900? n9 just release and still no sign of a meego fully stable update on n900? Does any one have any idea if the n900 is going to get a Meego update anytime soon? ive been hearing it since the last year but no sign of Meego on n900? can anyone confirm or is this any news confirming weather there is gonna be a fully stable n working meego Os on n900? I love my n900 but i am really dissapointed. like everyone else, i also wanna have an update of meego on n900. Ok and is there any news on pr1.4?

You've gotten what you'll get. There's a Developers Edition of MeeGo, and Nokia said a year ago that the Developers would get MeeGo, the consumers would not.

no. there is no official meego on the n900. there will be no further updates for maemo from nokia.

if you want meego on your n900 go look at the meego 1.2 developer edition.

if you want updates for maemo look at the community ssu

The Maemo UI looks much better than the MeeGo. Even if an update existed, many would prefer not to lose the home screen with all the widgets. I bet the cssu devs can add swipe-to-change-view to the wm/launcher/desktop.

Only if someone does it, and it's unlikely. There are certain issues, outdated phone stack for one.

n900 is such a great phone. its not fair to discontinue support for it. nokia should support it for a long time. its something epic. its underestimated. i wish nokia realized that maemo is in our hearts

Goodness people. If you want to see MeeGo on the N900 go support the MeeGo N900CE, and port Cordia to it. Bam, open MeeGo base with the Mameo 5 desktop.

Just sitting around and whining doesn't get anything done.

Bonus: This could carry forward to the N9.
