Hello all,

I finally made the switch to Anveo, which permits incoming and outgoing SMS via SIP IM. However, the contact list would not permit me to send messages unless I set the number in a special "SIP" field.

To have SIP IM enabled for the field TEL (any telephone number), I made the following change:

Code:
vi /usr/share/osso-rtcom/sip.profile
Then add "TEL" after "X-SIP" for [Action chat]. That area should look as below:

Code:
[Action chat]
Name = addr_bd_cont_starter_im_service_chat
IconName = general_sms
VCardFields = X-SIP,TEL
prop-org.freedesktop.Telepathy.Channel.ChannelType-s = org.freedesktop.Telepathy.Channel.Type.Text
The down-side is that instead of saying "SIP IM" or "SMS", or something, it says "addr_bd_cont_starter_im_service_chat". I am unsure how to find where the string lives, but am searching for it now in a few places.

Not exactly. Yes that is where things are getting called, however the "SIP IM" string, which is drawn from the same action, is properly localized. As I understand it, it's something in /usr/locale, so I will search there to try to figure it out.
