Have you read the Metro UX Guidelines?
Have you seen how Windows 8 with Aero Lite (square-y thing theme) looks like?
Too many colors, too many stripes (WP7 does not have stripes.)
See this, this is how WP7 would look like if landscape, 800x480 on the N900. (NOTE: WP7 doesn't actually come in landscape -- it's portrait only for the system UI)
