I just received my 770 (2006 os, Opera 8 i believe) and am having trouble using some of the websites i normally visit. One for instance is geocaching.com, where i input my name and password to access my account. The 770 will let me input this info but nothing happens when i click submit. I've found that i can disable javascript and get this to work but then i have to reenable javascript to get other things to work. Going back and forth like this is a pain.

This is also a problem on aol.com where i have my email set up. Cannot log in at all using either javascript setting. As above, i can't submit my name and password with it enabled. If i disable it and try, then aol tells me that it requires it to be enabled.

I'm thinking that both these are resulting from the same thing. Maybe a setting on the 770 or in the browser. Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

Check if the webpage is being "optimized" for you... turning that off solved a lot of web page issues for me.

Thanks for the fast reply. Just tried your advice but it didn't help with my problem. So far, disabling javascript is the only way that i can use the submit button. I didn't state it in my op but this also affects inputting anything into any data field on the page. Example, typing in search or a zipcode into the designated space on the page and hitting "go". This too will not work with javascript enabled.

It's hard to believe that the couple or three websites that i bought this thing to use with are the ones that have issues with the 770. Is it possible that i got a bad unit? It has the latest software but maybe i need to try reflashing? I hate to have to go throught the hassle of sending it back but the way it works now is unacceptable...

Most probably it is just a buggy website. Some of those badly coded sites cannot be properly rendered by opera.
