Hello.

I have problems with CSSU Modest.
Im syncing my hotmail over MfE with Modest and I have the latest CSSU installed.
Ever since I installed CSSU 11 I have experience frequent crashes when I start Modest, open emails, read emails, closes emails, write emails. Almost anything I do tend to crash Modest, but not everytime and its not repetable, just frequent.
I have notice that Modest tend to crash more frequent if I do things in Modest while MfE syncs or the email I open/read/closes have many receivers.

Anyone else have expecinced things like this?
Are there a way to install vanilla Modest and still keep the rest of CSSU installed (since everything else with CSSU works)?

Have nice day.
//Daniel

.deb from here seems to fix the crashes, use it until the next CSSU update.

download it to your n900 and in xterm as root install package

1. cd to directory where you've downloaded .deb
2. dpkg -i libtinymail-camel-1.0-0_1.1.92+1cssu2_armel.deb

EDIT:
3. reboot after installation

Installation went fine, now I just need a couple of days to test. But sofar so good.
A followup question.
apt promts me to upgrade libtinymail-camel-1.0-0
should I do that or not?

Thanks for the help.

The same question here
I let the apt-get upgrade to upgrade it. For a quite long period I had no modest crashes but recently got some again...

"Upgrade" you have done has restored libtinymail-camel-1.0-0 which is not fixed, reinstall the .deb one and DO NOT UPGRADE IT until the next CSSU update.

I did last a few days, this morning I experienced some crashes again.

And I handled 3 emails with 5+ recipients.

This is what I experienced.
Modest first crashed when I clicked send in email 1 after that I started Modest again and clicked to select Hotmail and it crashed again while loading folders.
Started Modest again and started to read email 2, crashed when I clicked send email 2.
Started Modest again to read email 3, sent a replay on that email and clicked on outbox now with 3 emails in line to be sent away.
No emails where sent after 5 min, I disconnected MfE by opening settings and saved, a second later the first email got sent.
I left the phone for a few minutes and when I checked the outbox, still 2 emails to send. I disconnected MfE again like before, after that email 3 got status failed and the email 2 suspended. I opened the failed email and resent it and it got sent as normal in just a few seconds. After that the last email got sent a few seconds later.

Quite messy.
I hope it could be in some help when to troubleshoot modest.

In my case, although at first it seemed that the crashes has been fixed mostly, it does not have any difference - still about the same crash rate as before...
