Hello, thanks for your time!

I have a rather... ehm... newbish question. If I flash the Hacker OS 2007 on my 770 what application base (if any) will I be able to install on it? I'm really wondering if I can install the N800 applications... I'm particularly thinking of running the plugin system for sound over Bluetooth that is available for the N800...

Thanks for reading! Much appreciated

Most OS2007 "high-level" apps work fine, unless they contain components compiled for the new N800's OMAP CPU. I am using normally OS2007 repositories for the HE, but e.g. N800 version of Maemo Mapper doesn't work in the HE. However, the plugin system for sound over Bluetooth can be quite driver-dependent, and the kernel+drivers in the HE are coming from the OS 2006. So you will have to try...

Ah, thank you

I went and flashed the HE and I can install some apps from 2007 base and some from 2006 base, which is kinda cool, actually. But, as you mentioned, the pre-packaged A2DP bluetooth profile plugin system does not run... Eh, I'm just going to have to wait till the next device comes out after the N800 and see... (If the N800 had A2DP I'd get it right now, though)

Thanks for the help!
