I was looking for an App based solution rather than browser based one!
JaxtrSMS resides in your device and you can launch the app anytime send SMS rather than open a browser and send the SMS.

Do we have any application which sends SMS directly to mobile inbox? This should enable to other end point to not have to install any app like whatsapp, so I can then truly send SMS to any mobile in the world for little or no cost.
Saw an interesting application JaxtrSMS for Symbian, unfortunately it does not support maemo or meego at this time.
