Hopefully that kickstarts the porting of WebOS apps to the N9. We do not even have the "preenv" package the N900 guys are using to play WebOS games...

I'm not sure what it has to do with devices or competitors really. It really belongs to the Meego/Mer section, since now Enyo could be used on corresponding environments.

Grab a random Enyo application (most Touchpad ones), download Enyo 1.0, take care with paths, and the application runs under virtually any recent webkit (both webkit2 and qtwebkit on the N950 qualify).

On one side, I'm sad they eventually went with Apache2. Yet another Android situation
On the other side, I read that they're going to use linuxfoundation.org's LFS kernels ...

Thank you javispedro, I had no idea it could be that simple, but that's still a bit less information than I need, I'm not a developer.

"Download Enyo", OK - save it to where? What paths have to be changed? Can I follow the "preenv" HOWTO at http://wiki.maemo.org/Preenv/FAQ? Do I need to put a copy of Enyo inside every app package? Can I run Preware? Will the N9 be able to run the official apps from those US companies that don't give a sh... about the N9, like Box.net, Evernote, Pandora, Grooveshark, LinkedIn, Dailymotion, Khan Lectures?

It was you who did "preenv", right? I'm envious of people with an N900, is there any possibility of doing something similar for the N9?

The N900 should be the first phone to run Enyo apps.

Well, at least now we know that iOS adapts a lot faster:

And they're dropping code once a month, and are using basically the same browser currently shipping on the N9 (QtWebKit) as their browser.
