OK, so this is on a newly flashed N9 with lots of free memory. I try to add a CalDAV account and I get the following error:

"Data storage full. Free up some space first."

That's a really strange error. There's lots of free memory/storage (just to be sure, I checked).

Is there a list of PR 1.2 bugs somewhere that I can check this against?

So an update on this error. It only appears when I use the Google Calendar ID as part of the Server/URL address. This is to allow subscribing to particular calendars. On PR 1.0 and 1.1 I was able to subscribe to individual calendars on Google Calendar. There are instructions on how to do this, for example here.

"For Account URL, specify “https://www.google.com/calendar/dav/[Google Calendar ID]/user”. Note that it’s actually “/user” there at the end, not your user name. The Google Calendar ID in brackets is visible in Google Calendar by going to the settings for a calendar and looking toward the bottom of the Calendar Details tab. You’ll see some funky junk like “asdfjklasdfjklasdjklasdjkl@group.calendar.google. com” or similar. That’s the Google Calendar ID."

Is this a bug or has this capability simply been removed in PR 1.2?

Dont know about this specific problem, but i get that error while testing/deploying applications due to /tmp filling up. This is a known bug with QtCreator becuase /tmp is small on the N9, ~4MB, so perhaps yours is full.

I think it's something specifically related to the Google Calendar and CalDAV. With my Google Calendar already synced to my N9 using the regular method that syncs your main calendar plus sub-calendars you've selected (just put in www.google.com as the sync URL and use this tool to select which calendars to sync), I tried changing the calendars set in Google Calendar using that same selection tool and then updating the sync in the N9. I got a very similar error message: "Data storage full. Free up some space first." I then immediately tried removing my Google Calendar from CalDAV in the N9, re-adding it, and syncing (with no reboot or anything), and it worked and I saw all my calendars.

There seems to be some bug in the protocol that the N9 uses in PR 1.2 to sync with CalDAV that throws this error when trying to sync specific calendars in Google Calendar, or when updating your calendar sync after adding/removing calendars on the Google side using the iPhone tool. I bet anyone can repeat these out of memory errors by following these steps with PR 1.2.

BTW, I found this thread because I was running into the same 'data storage full' error, and I just did the following to get this to work...

Went to the iphoneselect page to select one of the sub-calendars I was interested in (work-related calendar).

https://www.google.com/calendar/iphoneselect

Added the related CalDAV account on the N9...

User: myusername@some.domain (google apps corporate account)
Password: <my password>
URL: https://www.google.com/calendar/dav/

The N9 did the usual check before it added the account, and then I saw both calendars being added (the main myusername@some.domain calendar, as well as the sub-calendar I toggled on with the iphoneselect tool)

Edit: I even went back into my 'personal' google caldav sync, and just changed the URL to https://www.google.com/calendar/dav/ just because that URL seems very clean and intuitive.

HTH.

Yes, I also got rid of the "data storage full" error when I removed the CalDAV account with the full Google calendar ID.
Unfortunately selecting the 2nd calendar with "iphoneselect" and using the short URL https://www.google.com/calendar/dav/ still gives me only one private Google calendar.
Maybe this has to do with the 2nd calendar not owned by me but rather shared/subscribed from some other person?

I've found that I'll run into the 'data storage full' error if I add any additional google calendars under the same google account, but that deleting the caldav account on the n9 and then adding it again will pick up the new calendars.

also, make sure you save your changes on the iphoneselect page.

for calendars shared/subscribed from some other person, it's also important how they are sharing it, and sometimes it's not possible to get the calendar data, even though you have a caldav URL for it. i ran into this problem with a work-related google calendar when they gave me the rather long caldav URL and I tried to add it manually, but i was able to access the calendar in question under my properly authenticated caldav account on the n9, if that makes sense.

there are also some common google calendars that can't be added with caldav URLs, e.g. some of the holiday calendars, and the solution is generally to find a publicly available .ics file of the calendar you want, edit the .ics to taste, and then import the data into an existing calendar (or create a new one).

Hi All, I encountered the same issue today but nothing to do with calendars.
My problem started when I added a new MFE email account.

Anyone Else had this problem or does anyone know how to fix?

Hello,

I had the same problem but just after a long, long time without restarting. It produces me that the mobile can't connect to the Internet through 3G.

A restart (thanks for point to /tmp) and everything works nice.

I will monitor the /tmp

Is there any way to see the code to look for memory leaks?

Thanks

Also got this "Data Storage full. Free up some space first" problem. This is very strange since I haven't changed anything for over half a year and the Google Calendar sync via CalDav has worked very well thus far.
