Right - looks like I need a new GPS navigator for EUROPE; so I thought "why not get Navicore for the N800?"

Amazon.co.uk are selling the Nokia 770 AND 770 Navicore Navkit for £169.99
The Nokia 800 navkit alone sells for something like £150!

I already have a Nokia N800....

I think you know where I'm going with this

Obvious questions:
Is the Nokia 800 Navkit the same as the 770 Navkit? If not, what's different exactly? Is the car mount different, is it the software? Are they compatible with each other?

The ideal situation is that the 770 and 800 navkits are exactly the same; it'd be like I bought a 770 for £20

Hope the knowledged peeps out there have the answers

On the Hardware side the 770 kit includes the HH-12 "horn" that sticks to your windscreen together with the CR-81 which is the specific holder for the N770 which then fits the HH-12.

From other posts on here (http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...ead.php?t=6695) it seems the N800 requires the CR-86 holder to attach to the HH-12.

The HH-12 is a universal "horn" that numerous device specific holders then attach.

If you could find the CR-86 for the N800 as a part by itself then yes getting the N770 bundle would perhaps be the way to go.

They appear to have the same GPS unit, 1GB RSMMC & Navicore Personal s/w.
