I am looking to buy 2 extra batteries for the n800. I am so confused about the prices I see which are $8 to $52. That is a huge spread. Could somebody explain why the magor price differences and a good source. Thanking all jim_joh

Original Nokia batteries are too expensive but I would not use cheap batteries too. Low-quality Li-Ion batteries can seriously damage your device, because they can start to burn. Also is the capacity normally far away from that advertised..

To be on the safe side, I would use a NiMh rechargeable battery and an emergency-adapter like that:
