It actually worked! Most of it anyway. The only thing that could not be done was to mount (bind) MyDocs on boot. Had to manually mount it after boot. Something like this has actually happened to someone else before. Found his thread and read it. I was quite happy for a while.
Late last night, it died on me again. Reflashed again this morning and found that my microSD was unresponsive. Maybe it has gone dead as well or maybe there're more hardware problems within the N900.
Need to get a new phone afterall. Can't get a N9 64GB locally anymore. I'll probably get a SGS3.
Updates:
I'm reflashing the device now. Reflashing the eMMC didn't work. Luckily reflashing the fiasco image worked and it can boot. Checking the memory and found that "memory card corrupted" on the eMMC (which was expected). Luckily I have a 8GB MicroSD so now I'm gonna try to format the MicroSD and mount /home, /home/user/MyDocs and swap on it.
I couldn't believe I'm still having so much fun with my N900 even when it's half dead.
What happened last night:
I finally did it, dropped it from 1+ metre. Now it gets stuck looping at the white Nokia logo screen and won't boot. Has anyone experienced something similar? Is there a way out of it, or should I start looking at a new phone?
P.S. I should've tried overclocking it while I still had a chance.
