Okay... I just had my beloved N9 stolen a few hours ago. I would love to get it back asap but the Trackandprotect site confuses the shizz out of me. Can anyone please tell me how to
1: Get the cellphone number of the simcard in use.
2: Get the proper location (with street names etc.)
3: Take a picture of the thief (I hope this is done with front camera or its pretty useless)
4: Anything else to help me get my phone back.
I only have 28 credits available so I would like to use them wisely. Please help. Thank you.

1. Not possible, blame track n protect
2. You can see the location on the map
3. Not possible, blame track n protecy
4. ...

I have emailed them to ask where to put my personal information and they told me that only three features are supported for N9
- lock
- get position
- wipe
so no, the service is as helpful as setting device lock on which asks device code when sim changes.

Oh dear... I read the features and all of this was promised but all I can do is wipe, lock and get location? I suppose I best start looking around for a new phone then. So why did I even bother buying credit? Aaand... if I lock phone does this then render the location feature useless? I'm sure there needs to be an internet connection to enable GPS and if the thief can't get past the lock code...useless?

well try the get position feature maybe it helps...

also wipe your data to prevent any data from being stolen...

lastly, if the thief does a erase user data flash it would make the device new for him...

Guess what, useless "feature"? I think only hope for Harm users is something like N900's SMSCON (which is 100% free, actively developed by super-friendly duo, and quite effective - for sure Dreamland effective, when comapred to tracknprotect...).

Get location: spinning circle (pocessing: please wait)
Wipe: spinning circle (pocessing: please wait)
Block: spinning circle (pocessing: please wait)

Am I doing something wrong here? Or could it just be that the ignoramus has no idea of a micro-sim and the phones still switched off?

All I want is the location and the phone number in use. I can handle it from there. The location itself wouldn't be of much help since it just pinpoints the vicinity (when it decides to work that is), not the exact location.

Anyway, thanks for all the replies. Really appreciated.

Sometimes ago i lost my phone, so i use trackandprotect to see where i lost it. It was useless as the get location have never worked.

I suggest you to use an other apps to protect your n9/n950, track and protect have never worked for me.

(i ve forgotten the n950 in the car .... )

I use an own made method, a little script executed at frequent interval which send on my own server the location of my phone and try to see if there is something to execute.
