I have no idea, but I am facing same/similar problem. But to the extent, that not only browsing stops working, but also mail or any other program I want to open from menu like contacts/drive/...
Only x-term opened, but what to check?
Is this same problem or any other already known behaviour?
In my case also only a reboot helps curing.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, that also the complete UI freezes, so that there is no possibility of usage at all. 8 s power button time

Hmmm.. I think i found solution for myself by restarting this process:
It restated internet connections and grob started work again 
peterleinchen, try to look in to the files in: /etc/init and /etc/init/xsessions, maybe restarting one of this processes also can help to solve your problem.
Code:
/sbin/initctl restart xsession/icd2

Have you tried flushing DNS? that worked for me.

No i not tried.. I flushed dns only when i created this tweak some days ago and i removed this tweak, i not need this.
But restarting this process immediately fixed my problem.
Guys, if you have similar problem (like my), please try this command and report if this help you. And if yes, i will add this to Refresh button.

Like I wrote in the first post the condition for this grob bug is internet connection 3G/wifi jumping from one to another when the signal is weak on both of them (for me at least). As far as I remember in this condition it happens to me twice...

It happens to me a few times.. The grob (stock browser) stopped to work, it just not load pages, but all other browsers work without any problem. The wifi/3G signal is good.
I noticed it happens sometimes when wifi/3G signal start to be a weak and jump from one to another and when it again stable, the browser stopped to work...
Some solutions that I tried and NOT helped:
* killall grob
* refresh homescreen
* Full refresh from n9qt
* Close/open internet connection
* Manually connecting to 3G and after this switching to wifi (sometimes help)
Solution is reboot... But I don't want to reboot, maybe someone know another solution for this bug ? maybe restarting some processes ?
