My baby is in a bad state:
When switching on:
- white Nokia screen
- it boots (in R&D mode, since a very long time) from U-Boot into power kernel 52, as this my default boot setting.
- After it has run the boot messages, it's just the black screen.
The screen remains *lit* though, and the keyboard flickering, indicating system activity - it's just black. It won't turn off after the usual interval for power saving, it just remains lit and black.
There is no reaction to pressing any hardware buttons, except power off.
If I power on with the keyboard open, I get to select the stock kernel or U-Boot console from the U-Boot menu. Booting the stock kernel makes the device *power off* after running the boot messages.
I have CSSU thumb on it, not overclocked, with kp52. U-Boot was for booting other OSes from SDcard.
The last change I made to the system, was to upgrade CSSU to latest Thumb 8.2.
This problem occurred more than a week or so after that, so I wouldn't know what "user-behavior" to link it to. I don't recall doing anything out of the ordinary really.
Suggestions? Possibly avoiding a reflash?
I have Easy Debian installed on an SDcard, maybe U-Boot will allow to boot into that, or maybe I can use the U-Boot console for something. These are just guesses though, I need help for what exactly to try and where...
Thanks, Ben
edit: the screen actually does switch off after a while and lights up again when opening the keyboard
