Hi again -

OK - Up to now, everything's been going great with the 770.
I got VNC loaded and working, xterm loaded and working - life is good.

I went to install gnumeric - life went bad....

I'm not completely sure how I did it, but now I can't get my installed programs listed in the Applications Manager.

And, every thing I start the Applications Manager - I get an error message "Operation Failed".

I've tried to get everything reloaded from the repositories - but that doesn't even show the list.

How do I fix this?

Thanks...

Hi to you again. I assume you've added a number of new repositories to the application manager in order to install new apps. Here's an idea that works for me. Not sure from your post whether or not you're able to get application manager to launch or not, but if you can try going to "Tools>Application catalog" and go into "Details" for every repo except the default Nokia ones and disable them. Try to refresh again and if that's successful see if you can re-add the others one at a time, refreshing each time you add one back. This is what I do when a refresh hangs or fails on mine and it's worked every time so far, and sometimes I'll encounter a particular repo that causes the stall/failure.

As to installed applications not showing up in app manager, hopefully they'll show up once you've gotten the list to refresh. I've also found that there are a select few apps that only show up when you're running in Red Pill mode.

Anyway, hope this helps.

I just re-flashed the unit and started again.

I figured out that whatever I did when installing gnumeric is what did it.

After the re-flash, I've reloaded everything except gnumeric and it's all working great.

I'll tackle gnumeric later....

Once again, thanks for the help!!!!
