Maybe it's a problem with the font... Have you tried to change it?

Thanks, it didn't seem that easy. I just changed the font, did a reboot and changed it back to tohe original font and rebooted again.

These are Indian numerals, which are used in combination with Arabic usually.
So yes, most likely a font issue.
