make the device connect to your WLAN, then find the IP it got (look at your router for example to find out) and run nmap against...

I suggest to first check the USB ENUM messages, ideally on linux
Look into linux' syslog (tail -f /var/log/messages) and watch the output while you connect the device to the PC via USB

I made a backupmenu image of my old N900 and restored it to a fresh new N900 with only backupmenu (and CSSU) installed, a ... lemme count them... 5 times, and after that backupmenu-restore the new...

Why extract? you got all of the software, almost all even in source code, on garage and in repos and in the firmware images.


N900 is absolutely unbrickable, worst case you need "coldflashing"...

quite nifty approach, should indeed work. I don't think the PowerVR is any issue since it's not needed to make the board work. FSF only reviews the SOFTWARE(!) and there exist a zillion linux...
