Re: [WIP] App / Tweak: patchmanager a system-wide patching system + homescreen tweak

Good to know, thx. However the gesture isn't easy to catch. You may also edit /etc/patchmanager2.conf (yes, two, not three) carefully to ensure consistency between sections.

Re: [WIP] App / Tweak: patchmanager a system-wide patching system + homescreen tweak

@coderus The possible conflicts for Launcher combined are only No handle and No handle w Launcher combined (both installed but not activated at the time I encountered the issue). No conflict for...

Re: [WIP] App / Tweak: patchmanager a system-wide patching system + homescreen tweak

@coderus I don't know how to interpret it, anyway the (probably) relevant part of patchmanager.log is to be found here =>

Re: [WIP] App / Tweak: patchmanager a system-wide patching system + homescreen tweak

@coderus It's OK with launcher combined and dynicons only (all other patches disabled). As I have 22 patches (I'm crazy, I know) I don't feel like checking all possible combinations.

Re: [WIP] App / Tweak: patchmanager a system-wide patching system + homescreen tweak

@coderus Okay. For some reason, installing dynamic icons on my XperiaX disables launcher combined (even without applying it, strangely).

Not checked yet with my old Jolla phone.

EDIT: same...

Re: [WIP] App / Tweak: patchmanager a system-wide patching system + homescreen tweak

Apparently, this patch conflicts with your launcher combined patch (SailfishX Nuuksio).

Re: Sailfish 3.2.1 Nuuksio

Upgraded my Jolla phone, which is my testing device. As usual, some important patches are no longer working. Let's wait a bit before upgrading the Xperia X.

Re: EA: Sailfih 3.0.2 Oulanka

Xperia X users who paid 50€ for a so-called long term support feel deceived.

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

@rm250j This method is usuallly okay. However, in my experience, if you use it for an OS *downgrade*, it may brick the phone (in my case, downgrading from 3.0.0.8 to 2.2.0.29 on a Jolla phone).

Re: 2.2.1.18 Nurmonjoki

Anyway, updating to (I didn't write "upgrading") 2.2.1.19 looks like kind of downgrading for patch compatibility.

Re: 2.2.1.18 Nurmonjoki

Weird. I would have expected 2.2.1.19 before Nurmonjoki came to public release.

Anyway, now many broken patches are OK.

Maybe I will upgrade my Xperia soon (only Jolla phone upgraded for...

Re: 2.1.4 EA / Lapuanjoki

Maybe also connectivity improvements (qt5-qtwebsockets;5.5.1-1.2.1;armv7hl;jolla) and Whisperfish working again?

-EDIT- Unfortunately, the answer is no with qt5-qtwebsockets v5.5.1 (Jolla) or...

Re: 2.1.4 EA / Lapuanjoki

Lapuanjoki 2.1.4.14 EA released (addresses BT audio issue for Jolla phone). Probably nothing new for Xperia X.

Re: Sailfish OS (officially) on Sony Xperia devices

Memory swapping isn't necessarily a good idea with solid state memory (limited number of read/write operations then memory dies)

Re: [WIP] App / Tweak: patchmanager a system-wide patching system + homescreen tweak

Hi, I installed app-locker patch version 1.0.3 (from coderus in web catalogue), which appears to be not compatible with SFOS 2.1.3.7
Please don't tell me I made a mistake, I know it.

As a result,...

No lagging issue for me with native email client in 2.1.3.7 (Jolla phone and Xperia X). I have no Gmail account though.

Re: 2.1.4 EA / Lapuanjoki

I guess that's why you noticed heavier battery drain.
