Re: [MOD] Enable Traffic/Automatic day-night in Drive & Traffic in Maps

You left out a semicolon, newline, or && between the cp command and the patch command. If you put a ; before "patch -p0 ..." that will fix it (assuming nothing else was overwritten).

Re: [Announce] N9 QuickTweak app (for PR1.3 only) - v8.6

Please add the option to disable the Swype info bubbles that forever pop up as a "gentle reminder" about how it "ought to be used". They are both irritating and often even inappropriate.

Re: The Tiny N9 PR1.3 Discussion Thread!

I had the same experience as you, but going from PR1.1 -> 1.2. Because the phone never retained factory config for very long, I always assumed that it was probably something I'd done that made it so...

Re: Lumia has hdmi function. Why Not the N9? Is it possible?

The N9 has 1GB RAM, the Lumia 900 a mere 512MB. IMO, nothing was a bigger show stopper on the N900 than insufficient RAM.

CheckInstall

I built a Debian package out of the latest release of CheckInstall, which in short provides probably the most straightforward mechanism for turning source archives into DEBs, RPMs, et al.

May not...

After running

Re: Where are the downloaded files getting saved?

Downloaded apps are stored under /var/cache/apt/archive/ until the installation is complete. Then they are deleted. Also, the package names usually don't end in *armel.deb, but rather...

Re: Tutorial: Aircrack-ng on N9!

I'm on it. Unfortunately this preliminary finding rules out aegis-mode support:

Re: gcc compiler on N9?

Shouldn't have to log in as root. In fact, if you uncompressed an archive as user and try to make as root, it will return permission denied since the directory is owned by user.

There is a more elegant solution -- and it almost, but not quite, works...

export...
