It gets better! Following discussions about Boost on the howardforum.com, I managed to upload Opera Mini 4.01 to my i605. Now on my bus trip to work, I just turn the i605 on and go right to the CNN...

I haven't tested, but the firefly fonts might be more for the Chinese language. Try ttf-kochi-gothic and/or ttf-kochi-mincho for Japanese.
