I'm finding that occasionally hotsync locks up my tablet completely. It says that it hasn't started on the PC and then no buttons or screen responds at all on the tablet. I have to press the reset...

Regarding the link between backup folder and sync, I have no real understanding, only empirical data. It isn't always very clear what is going on (to me, at least)
