On the same topic, how do I replace the keyboard bitmaps? The recognizability on some of them could be much higher - eg Return could have a solid, possibly orange, arrow rather than a thinly outlined...

In the same way that a sofa is better than a refrigerator, or fried chicken is better than freshly squeezed orange juice, yes. There isn't really a meaningful comparison to be made.
