The pc suite mode is not the usb networking one.
You have to install the pc-connectivty and the pc-connectivity-manager packages, then you have to enable the usb networking mode on the N900, then...

I think that the 20% discount (479 euro) is worth buying the Italian version.
But You can wait the availability at amazon.co.uk or other uk reseller if You really want the UK keyboard.
