I don't remember how the plugins in Python interact with mBarcode, and I'm not sure what the intended behavior for plugins actually is. But I remember now that I actually wrote the tutorial some time...

I haven't used, tested or done any development on mbarcode for a long while, but my best guess would be that Qt's version or some other library's version that comes with the CSSU for some reason...

When I started making Nanoparticles, one goal was to make it as simple as possible. That way it was easier to perfection one main style of game...

You don't have to downgrade, but upgrade. It was mbarcode-core that is corrected in its version mbarcode-core _1.0.2-6, and mbarcode now forces this to be installed (or any later version) after...
