VF have to Approve the software update 1.2. and it will take them some time 2 do so.
remmebr they have not even approved the 1.1.1 update yet and that come out around the 16 of...

My step by step on how to Flash the N900 on windows XP SP3+
This will format the whole phone so everything will be lost unless you back it up.
Formats eMMC images and flashes the phone to 1.2...
