My understanding is connecting automatically is one thing but whilst wireless is switched on the module will be active seeking for wifi. Not connecting, just active.

Spartan. To some of us its a phone, to some its a computer and to some its both.
Quite obviously to you it needs to be a phone with MMS capabilities. Sadly the 900 doesnt have mms capabilities...

I had a similar problem here. Try going into Settings then from within settings Hide User Agent then from within user agent hit Remove. for me the ovi site was sensitive to the user agent when it was...

Does it matter if its a flaship device or not. Use it and enjoy it. If you dont then maybe slap yourself for buying the wrong device, return it/sell it and move on.
