That's one reason why we created N9 Apps (http://n9-apps.com). However, there the issue is to motivate all developers to submit their apps, so you still have to check other sources for all apps.

Not currently. When we launch, the app names are reserved on first come first served basis. In case of disputes, app names will be given to the rightful owners. We are excited too!

More like Appshopper in the regard that we won't host or sell the apps, just provide links to Store and other sources. On the other hand, we (primarily) won't crawl the sources but let the developers...
