Re: Pokemon GO?
It won't ever work with Alien Dalvik, as it fails the safetynet check and won't ever pass it. I believe microg has a way to get around safetynet but that requires a version of Android that Alien...

I'm almost willing to bet that:
The interest to resolve this is rather low
The ability to resolve this is nigh zero
The want to have this resolved outweighs the ability and interest......

Re: Pokémon GO not working on 2.0.2.45 :(
The anti-android zealots continue to astonish me.
Without android support Jolla would not exist, basically. Vastly fewer people would have bought the J1 and thus even if they weren't financially...

So to you everyone who uses Android support because they might actually want their phone to cover their needs is comparable to a housefly that likes $hit? Oookay....

Re: Pokémon GO not working on 2.0.2.45 :(
Misguided attempt? Android support is the top app in Jolla store with 50000+ downloads. Can you guess how much less people would buy Jolla without Android support?

Re: Pokémon GO not working on 2.0.2.45 :(
No, it's more complex. First off, it's non-trivial to upgrade people's existing Android app data which makes it problematic for Jolla to issue it as a SW update => lots of care mail that it can't...

@juiceme there's plenty wrong with the J1's btrfs setup / version though.
As you allude to, a filesystem should not cave in on itself when you near capacity and/or put a load of small files on it,...

There's absolutely nothing wrong with btrfs and I am actually sad Jolla decided to drop it.
In reality btrfs is fast, scalable, effcient and reliable, providing a good set of modern well-thought-of...

Doesn't mean that I don't keep supporting Jolla/SailfishOS or contracting for them. For a very long time I was a subcontractor, not...
