Oh, ok. it shoudl work fine.

Can you post output of dmesg after a failed attempt?

EDIT: (Not all the output, it may be giganormous, just the few last line, ideally the 50'ish last lines.

This remind me of troubles i had while tinkering with overclock and undervoltage. If the chip is not powered properly, you can have this. Also, if you have kp installed, be sure to load the default...

If you search the forums and repos there are instructions and even a packaged app to boost the FM transmitter on the N900 to fill a whole room.

Interesting software. The black-out zones are the overexposed areas of the photo, very useful to have pictures with correct exposition and detail in both the highlights and shadows.

All you need to tell him is to replace the old chip from the motherboard with the new one that you bought, assuming you will do the reflashing afterwards.
