Re: Zipper (Turn your smartphone into a blockchain powerhouse)

Indeed bitcoin uses a lot of electricity for the mining, but the world of cryptocurrencies extends far beyond what bitcoin has to offer. In many ways bitcoin is starting to look a bit archaic...

Re: Zipper (Turn your smartphone into a blockchain powerhouse)

The fact of actually getting paid for your data or renting out your hardware is nice, as is the idea of cryptocurrency-made-easy.

But I'm not too keen on the fact that it uses its own token. It...

Wow, that looks real sweet.

Regarding image files and other resources for Nemo, where do I go to participate in designing them? A lot of UI elements are missing or ugly/scaled wrong, and it's an...

Re: Council election

Getting the basics running on Fremantle would most likely not be that hard, since there is still support for C++98 compilers newer than GCC 4 (I don't know if we require any specific version, I think...

Re: lipstick - New extensible touch interface targetted at MeeGo CE

I'm sorry, but probably not. I don't have any interest in developing for Harmattan as a platform, I'd rather make something better that's free, open source, and runs on more devices myself.

lipstick - New extensible touch interface targetted at MeeGo CE

So, I'm aiming at using MeeGo CE on a day to day basis.. and I personally really hate the interactivity of that stupid launcher / switcher mode button, amongst many other things.

A while ago, I...

Re: Gary Birkett (aka lcuk) RIP

Gary was a friend and a coworker. In fact, if it hadn't been for him, I'd have probably not applied to join Collabora, as I'd not have thought to apply there.

The few times we met face to face, I...

Re: Should MeeGo developers continue to publish info on this forum for maemo users (wrt Nokia device support)?
