Download a great free converter utility for your PC called "super". Its a Windows gui shell for some command line utilities and can convert any audio or video format to any other.

You might try installing GSpot (http://www.headbands.com/gspot/) and using it to investigate the files. It should provide information on what codec has been used for the video and may help you find...

I found a solution....go to modify acounts, select your yahoo, click on the advanced tab and in the pager server field replace what is there with "cs101.msg.mud.yahoo.com" (without quotes" works...
