I have several chargers and leave them all plugged in when not charging the n800.

Picowatts or at least makes no difference on my power bill.

You'll need to install mplayer. It can be found here:

It comes with a simple GUI as it's natively a command line program. Last time I tried...

you can play most avi's(below 1000 kbps) directly using mplayer.

But for best results use nokia media converter.
