oh, odd, I tried to minimize any kind of dependencies using the hildon calls (avoiding the crappy pygame audio support and his stupid esd calls) and I packaged a sound 'ringin.wav' for the alarm...

I think that you must use the 'Personal Menu' *not* the personal launcher (which is outdated).

MaemoMapper will show the distance of the track you are on. You can insert a mark, then (even set a hardware key to invoke) and click Show distance from last mark, -or- Show distance from beginning....
