Open xterm and type the following:


echo softvol=yes >> .mplayer/config
echo softvol-max=700 >> .mplayer/config


This will append "softvol=yes" and "softvol-max=700" to your .mplayer/config...

You can also use the softvol option in /home/user/.mplayer/config for instance (this is for boosting the volume in mplayer only, can introduce distortions).

launch mapcruncher
add source map
map your points, the more the better. I like using points like railways crossing...

if you want to use maemo mapper, you will need to stitch a number of screenshots together in something like photoshop, to make a big jpeg. microsoft mapcruncher will then import this image and allow...

Gnumeric installs very easily- through the Application Manager. Just make sure you have the Testing Maemo Extras repo.
