Re: 3D Driving Game for N900?
Feel free to quit *****ing and code it yourself then. One thing that annoys the hell out of me is people who complain about FREE software.
You don't like the game - fine. Don't download it. But...

Re: talk.maemo.org vs non-English forums
No.
While I believe having places for people to be able to discuss Maemo in their native language is a great thing, the real problem is that a lot of the people with the real information just...

Ok, someone from Nokia will make a note of your objections and get back to you. For now a possible solution that you can try is...

Re: Should the emulator work 100%?
The main purpose of the emulator is to let you develop at least some apps without having a real device. The emulator is not supposed to completely replace the actual device for end users.

Re: SDL + OpenGL = testing needed
This reminds me that SDK only has GLES 2 "emulation" packages as Kate said. For OGL ES 1.1 you still need to get Imagination SDK (way more difficult to install than apt-get, but still within a mere...

Re: Nokia N900 clarifications

Re: Slysics - Alpha Release. Testers Needed!
It does run on the N900 (after symlinking libSDL_gfx) but rather slowly. But I fully understand that this build isn't meant for the N900 and I hope to see your one that is. :)

Re: Slysics - Alpha Release. Testers Needed!
Thanks. :)
I've been using XChat and GConf editor from Diablo's extras-devel fine w/out a hitch. And this has less dependencies than them, which should make it even nicer. :)
Although, in...

Re: Linider
Yeah I would think that the basic concept of the game should be safe to reproduce as long as you don't make anything too similar. Maybe change the dude on the sled with the hat to something a little...

Re: Linider
Yes, but good and interesting questions.
Maybe change the name to something more descriptive and less like the game that inspired it?

Re: PokerTH 0.7.1 for Fremantle.
The Fremantle UI doesn't start in the ARMEL target (due to QEMU problems); only the X86 target works for starting the UI.
So, if you want testers, maybe an X86 build would be more useful, please?...

Re: PokerTH 0.7.1 for Fremantle.
You could (or more like should) have your Depends line like this:
Depends: ${shlibs:Depends}, ${misc:Depends}
and if there's some data packages missing add them manually
Architecture could...

Re: PokerTH 0.7.1 for Fremantle.
"Unable to install"
You have plenty of libboost missing dependencies and a couple of libqt as well. I don't even know how you managed to bring your package to extras-devel. :)
But very...
