Re: Pybattery - battery statusbar applet with candies

Nope. All you need is to fix the dangling symlinks.
E.g. read this (http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=200170&postcount=7).

Re: Why did you get the N900?

Sadly, I agree with you. I see Nokia moving farther and farther away from my dream device, so I'm not going to be happier with the next one, that's for sure. Get your last Maemo device that's usable...

Re: N900 vs. Motorola Droid (Verizon Android device)

As far as I can tell, Android is designed to be a free common infrastructure (free/open OS and kernel, and then a common device independent application infrastructure) that phone makers can layer...

Re: N900 vs. Motorola Droid (Verizon Android device)

In my nightmares mostly.

While I agree the DROID is a wonderful phone, and it's actually a phone which gives it a slight edge. Personally...I'm a fan of Resistive Screens, Bulky hardware, and...

Thumbs down Re: N900 vs. Motorola Droid (Verizon Android device)

I dont find it ugly at all and its far from a POOR phone. Stop being so blindly biased. In more ways ways it looks better than N900 and more feature complete + superior.

The big screen 3.7 vs...

Re: Android apps on Maemo

I doubt Maemo will hit the number of apps to compete with the iPhone or Android, however, like has been mentioned before, Quality over Quantity. The iPhone may have 75000 apps, but is an app that...

Re: 256mb for installable aplications?? Am I awake or is this only a bad dream?

In any case, the 256 MB (and not mb, millibit) is a compressed filesystem, it can take a lot more than what it seems to. And the applications are much smaller than your desktop variants, Nokia likes...

Re: Nokia launches a Netbook in 2011 ?

What exactly is good in "Moblin is giving up, and we're all just going to use Maemo"? I'd rather have two frameworks sharing ideas and code than one monopoly.

Re: Nokia launches a Netbook in 2011 ?

Maemo and Moblin will continue to exist as software platforms, no change to current situation but we will align more of what is underneath the UI framework and APIs.
