Edit `/etc/event.d/hildon-control-panel-personalisation` and change "start on started xomap" to "start on MOUNTS_OK" and it shall stop. It's a filed bug.

I like my N900 but all the fierce defenders in the community just as bad as the whiners. The whole "if you want app x then make it" and "it's not a phone its a computer" thing is a load of ****....

There's no need to hack the code - all the other repositories are looked up from the hildon-application-manager config file. The only reason the three/four are hardcoded is that the config file...

whayt I was obliquely suggesting before was that you might try doing a manual "send & receive" after switching to 3G -no guarantees, but it might kick the polling into life again if its root cause...
