In 0.5-9 there is some experimental code which would solve the problem if there is no cell connection (no possibility to send SMS), it would automatically try to resend the same message after 900...

Are you connected to internet? Satelite maps cant be stored to N900's internal memory so they are always downloaded from internet.

but try the home pc from work and it doesnt?

it's fixed now, just tried it. do a package update first, then try to upgrade again. worst case, uninstall it and then reinstall it after the package update.
