To edit using vi:

For Scotland, http://m.trafficscotland.org/ is excellent - although suffers from "tiny text" unless you use Opera in zoom mode or the very, very excellent Maccuco2.

Depends where you are in the UK.

I have tried Google Maps via the various mapping programs, Sygic (which crashes every 10 minutes!).

The best solution I have found for me is to follow a twitter...

I would try r&d mode with watchdog etc disabled (if the n900 allows) and try to boot.

I'd guess it's a device from the US, where .2/4/6/8 are disabled by default.

Use fmtx-faker and change the region, then reboot.

Version 0.7.0 should be in extras-devel soon. Changelog:

* New menu system requiring fewer screen taps.
* Improved search.

There are also a few minor bug fixes etc.

It seems that the mobile stream is not seekable. There is nothing I can do about that, as it's the external media player that handles the stream.

Trust me, I've got reams and reams of videos downloaded from YouTube. Frickin' external Hard Drives full of them lol. Call me a hoarder!

mcsp depends on libqt4-bearer-hotfix and qtquickcompat, so they are installed when you install my package qmltube.

tar-gnu is unrelated to qmltube.

I set the option name to 480x270 because that was the resolution of the fmt=18 stream provided by YouTube. That still applies for older videos, but YouTube have now increased the resolution of that...

it's because of the phone app is buggy. each time u start the phone app the freq will drop to 125 mhz. this is a known bug and it is fixed in the power kernel by adding 125 mhz to the tuneable value...

If you have it autoloading myprofile, just delete myprofle, if I understand you correctly.

That file is probably in /home/user/.kernel

You can flash on win7, i have that OS and i've flashed a bunch of times (32bit mind, i'm now on 64 bit and haven't yet tried flashing)

When you remove packages make sure you uninstall them from the command line using "apt-get purge <packagename>" this will remove the configuration files along with the package. After that it depends...
