There have been reports of USB ports becoming loose despite grinding the connector teeth.

I think those are the best things to do (personally I just grind the teeth down). Has anyone's USB port been ripped out even though they ground down their plugs?

I don't think anyone has seen any...

Sheesh... The N900 loads a small portion of the OS if the phone is off when the user connects it to the charger to supervise the charging. When disconnected, the N900 unloads the OS and powers off....

Naw, it happen's to me too (ive had 2 since launch) instead of poping the batt you can open the keyboard and close then hit the power;)
