Re: Run AlienDalvik on Nexus 4

Amen.

If I ever needed to run Android applications (which fortunately I don't) this would be the way to do it.

Re: Run AlienDalvik on Nexus 4

Well I think that AlienDalvik on nexus4 is cheating because it is commercial, one is not paying for it and it is proprietary software. In the other hand sfdroid is opensource, free and made by...

libhybris will support Android ≥6 devices!

Jolla announced on Twitter:

libhybris will support Android ≥6 devices! MTK added by @Canonical, Qualcomm by #SailfishOS community champion krnlyng (Franz-Josef Haider)

So does this mean that...

Re: Nitdroid on N9 in 2016

When you do a full flash (either OS&EMMC or just*OS) your ubiboot configuration gets wiped by the flash, no need to remove anything.

Did you get my previous reference to back-to-back flashing?...

Re: [DEV] sfdroid: run android in a window

Jolla C and Intex device adaptation is 5.1, so sfdroid can be much better than stock ;)

Re: Sailfish on Turing Phones?

Well, in fact I do, however I like to keep in touch with them IRL, and not via messaging apps... :D:D

Re: Jolla C

Well, that seems an odd comment to me
Are you seriously suggesting that I have been using a device without a point for what, almost 3 years??

Re: SailfishOS 2.0 Nexus 5 CM12.1 Alpha1 | Sfdroid Pre-Alpha/Early Preview

By early next week I should have audio fixed in sfdroid. Any logs could help since the current work probably won't affect many of these crashes you're seeing (look to the "logcat" instructions in the...

Re: [Announce] apkenv (N900, N950, N9)

There definetly is interest! If only to little prolong the life of our N9s it would be great.

I am also very eager to help, but unfortunately I have no coding skills, but if testing is needed I...

Re: Jolla Tablets on ebay

This just illustrates the differences among the needs of different people; for myself there is not that many GUI applications that I find useful. Almost all console tools however build out-of-the-box.

Re: SailfishOS 2.0 Nexus 5 CM12.1 Alpha1 | Sfdroid Pre-Alpha/Early Preview

Very weird, I tested that method before posting it. Assuming pico or nano gapps were used, try this (no tested solution for the "stock" package):

devel-su
rm -rf...

SailfishOS 2.0 Nexus 5 CM12.1 Alpha1 | Sfdroid Pre-Alpha/Early Preview

This requires a clean flash coming from cm11. Coming from the "SNAPSHOT" cm12.1 base also requires a clean flash if you would like sfdroid (for now). If a clean flash is too much work, wait for SFOS...

Re: The N9/N950 Kernel Upstreaming Force

It's more like drm vs fbdev - kernel is migrating from fbdev to drm and fbdev is in "maintanance mode". PVR uses open source driver for interaction between it's closed source binaries and the rest of...

Re: [Announce] kodi for SailfishOS

Wow, this is really nice and most things are working nicely. Thank you so much.
Funnily enough, kodi is now the easiest – native – way for me to copy files from smb/cifs shares.

There are some...
