Re: Upstart-job package missing?..
Same problem as lamle with maemo-pc-connectivity. I suppose that the solution proposed for this problem does not help with the pc-connectivity because it can be found only in extra devel repository. Comments or workarounds?

Re: Upstart-job package missing?..
I am trying to install Google Voice plugin for Conversations and Calls and I get the upstart-job application package missing. I tried removing the extra-devel and testing repositories but when I do that I can't find the application anymore. I've also tried searching through the repositories and I can't find any other version as it seems they've all been cleaned out by the sys. Any help would be appreciated.
EDIT: I looked around and found this: http://wiki.maemo.org/Maemo_5/PR1.2 Does the update to the upstart package mean potential fixes for all these problems?" |

Any news on this? I can't find the upstart package even using the trick posted above...
Thanks! |
Re: Upstart-job package missing?..
It's my understanding that we're not looking for the upstart-job package so much as trying to install an older version of [any app] that doesn't have upstart-job as a dependency.
If anyone knows a fix to this or some ideas please chime in! |
Re: Upstart-job package missing?..
I had the same problem a few minutes ago.
I wasn't able to install the extra protocols for Conversations. I just deactivated the Extras-Devel repository and tried again to install it. Then it works fine. Don't search for the upstart job. You won't find it. With deactivating the Extras-Devel, the App-Installer is showing "older versions" of software, so you can install it. |
