Dam. Can't wait for tommorow. I am in the US and to make situation worse, I have Win 7 64 bit so I am stuck with "Suitable USB device not found, Waiting" message.

PS - Thanks Nokia!

If possible, try to find a PC/laptop with Ubuntu or any Linux. Flashing will be a breeze :)

Heard about the update today, downloaded the update today, sh*t myself when I thought my phone had died today, and am now sitting here with PR1.2 running and my N900 just as tweaked as it was before I started -and running a hundred times better. I know it's not the easiest phone to get on with, in fact I've actively dissuaded certain people from getting it, but that's half the reason I like it and it's the closest I've come to a phone with a full desktop experience.

I still can't believe half the stuff this f***er can do.

Anyway, in contrast to all the moaning again a big thank you to all involved, keep up the good work.

Your posts contribute nothing of value. Insults, mockery, and generally being an *** does no one here any good. I suggest you GTFO, but if you don't I'm sure the mods will be more than willing to oblige.

Re: Thank You Nokia.

im not being funny in anyway but thanking nokia. i dont get it.
they make really good products and we buy the products.

that's like me buying a x6 bmw then thanking bmw for added extras
that they previously promised.

ill thank nokia when they do something good to the phone that is outside
of their service level agreement. (or any other agreement)

who you should be thanking is the community who will be writing free
apps for this baby, thank the guys who sit behind their monitor testing
and hacking this baby making sure its working ok

i bought my phone from nokia and they didnt say thanks i guess i can understand that since we both got something for something.

all those information (cpu, temperature, etc.) are coming as default with pr1.2 or are you using some program/widget?

Everything is tweaked. All the buttons and meters are using the Desktop Command Execution Widget, scripts are available here:

http://wiki.maemo.org/Desktop_Comman...Widget_scripts

In short you create a button (picking height, length and how you want it to operate ie: on startup/refresh at set interval, normal button), and use the script to tell it what to do.

You need to have Titans advanced Kernel and Kernel settings installed in addition to the Command Execution Widget

Thank you so much for reminding us that we still need to thank Nokia. Further can you please name the application you used for the clock on your desktop as well as for changing the battery icon in status bar.

The clock is just a clock widget from the extras-devel repository, changing the battery icon is a hack. You need to have OpenSSH (extras-testing repo I think) and WinSCP (on a windows PC) installed.

Follow this guide to access your files:

http://www.nokian900applications.com...on-nokia-n900/

You then replace any icon you want with one of your choosing of the same size. Loads of icons/mods are available for download on the Mods thread

http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...896#post675896

For instance the aluminium volume control icon set shown below (also within the above thread) can be downloaded from:

http://meego.de/menueuser/downloads/...erby,2/page,3/

Edit: Make your own icons, convert and re-size any pic online with:
