Never knew that; I was speaking from my own experience of a slight increase in speed when I put a 2GB of swap on my n9's emmc partition;

catching up here (again), but how did you put swap (file?) on a vFAT partition ?!?

changed it after rainisto posted on how to use the mtd4 block for ~500MB swap leaving 1GB as RAM instead of 3/4 RAM and 1/4 Swap...

that would be 4/5th RAM (1GB) and 1/5th swap (256MB) (default values).

with all due respect to rainisto & you, that "increasing performance" by adding swap is non-sense.
what dramatically improves performances of (e.g. N9 versus N900, even with later being oc.ed) is four time the RAM
[EDITed]

:-w

Man, I would take N950 board and LCD and take it into grey body, nothing more. it is not wise to use it with so small RAM.
anyway, LCD can be used from normal N950 to that beta device, it is the same (as in yours is not AMOLED as was in "mine").

anyway, this is all I have, some older images of alpha/beta FWs

Some news about my work today.

ProtoB2:

Screen has some damage!

http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/458509Device.jpg

- Volume down doesn't work (not appear on the ribbon).

- Physical camera button exist (camera app doesn't react to it but if I press it when screen is dim the device lits up).

Anyone know how can I do to run this button with camera app or to trigger it?
it would be very usefull

http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/97...assembled1.jpg

- Big Hinge: the mechanismn that makes the open/close.

nb. there is also an other small hinge.

http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/54...assembled2.png

nb. proto b2 doesn't have the same ribbon as N950 and many others things.

- N950 disassembled ( to connect the complete black part (LCD inside) to the proto B2)

http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/66...assembled1.jpg

nb. N950 is still in very good condition even after disassembling.

maybe ungluing the LCD from the touch module will do it? what do you people think?Im not very sure because most nokia's models have a LCD connect AND a touch connector, when they are not, they are usually connected and converge to one conector as seen in this picture. If this is the case, you might need to find the place when the touch connects to the LCD and swap them.
