For developers, S^3 will ship with Qt support even though Avkon won't be removed until S^4. There's no question S^4 will be more complete, but even S60 isn't lacking in *features*, and simplification is more critical than an entirely new application suite. |

Re: Nokia Q1 financials
Are the same developers who wrote Symbian v5 responsible for S^3 ?
If so, it will most likely underwhelm. The same developers had years to develop v5 and still screwed it up rotten. No reason to believe they have suddenly become decent developers/UI designers. |
Re: Nokia Q1 financials
Nokia increased his parcentage on smartphone market for 41 % to 40%.
But of course by Apple words they are already the number one company on smartphones. Nokia is doing thinks correctly. And in the future all the the people wil be able to see that. |

Also, I think it's a safe guess that the delay on S^3 is partially caused by N97 because last year Nokia had to pull resource to fix S^1's various issues...... |

No. They can, for example, start making Android devices (or WinMO, god forbid). They know how to make proper hardware efficiently, while lacking in SW and services. Wouldn't be such a bad idea to finally throw Symbian out of the window. Who would miss it? Not the consumers. |
